Things I learned at #UtopYA

ChrisUncategorized, UtopYA

Learn and lead teamwork and Leadership as an education symbol represented by two human heads frontal and side view shaped with gears as a brain idea made of cogs representing working together as a team in partnership.

What did I learn at UtopYA this year? Many things. In no uncertain order, here they are.

1. Make sure you shave both your legs before walking out the door to a book signing. In your distracted state, you may have forgotten one.

2. Put a room key in your nametag. That way if you accidentally grab your driver’s license rather than your key, you can still get back into your room.

3. Check which floor you are on before getting off the elevator. Do this every time.

4. Always pack extra clothes because you will spill coffee/food on yourself at some point during the conference.

5. If you are five foot two no matter how high your heels are, everyone will still be taller than you.

6. If you’re going to bring peanut butter remember to bring utensils. Eating peanut butter with a coffee stirrer is not ideal.

7. Goo Goo clusters are freaking awesome.

If you’ve attended UtopYA or another conference what did you learn?
